CAPACITY BUILDING

No level in this life is enough for you; until you become the best, and for you to become the best, you need to build your capacity through sacrifice, dedication and perseverance. when you are building your capacity, you are taking the step which leaders and successful people took.

The best way to build your capacity is studying. Since capacity building has to do with knowing more and more; not being satisfied with the state you are or what you know.

Capacity building has to do with the act of raising revenues that will stand the test of time i.e. revenues that will stand even when we are incapacitated to build more, so as to ensure the growth of our world in this generation. Capacity building deals with making positive impact, raising world changers and purposeful people. It also involves taking responsibilities.

The opportunities you want, can only be maximized or utilized (by you) if you will build your capacity so that you can live up to standard.

STUDY
Studying is the best way any young person can build his or her capacity. Many of the people who succeeded in life built their capacity through studying; I will like to mention few of those.

1.    Abraham Lincoln
Abraham Lincoln built his capacity through studying which helped him to pass the Bar examination of law; he taught himself. Abraham Lincoln made so many impacts; but before he made impact there were challenges which he overcame through the capacity he built.

He persisted and persevered, even when he was failing instead of giving up; anytime he fails he increases his capacity and went for another try.
Abraham Lincoln was the 16th president of America who gave a meaning of the general view of democracy which he defined as “government of the people, for the people and by the people.

2.    David (of the bible)
“Don’t run from your challenges and responsibilities because they are there to help you build your capacity” – Johnson.
David watched after the flock of his father Jesse, one of his days in the bush, he met a lion which came to take one of the flocks. Let’s critically analyze that event. Options are:

-         If David had run away, because of fear no one would blame him even his father Jesse.
-         If he had lead other flock home and let go only the one the lion took; his father would have say he has tried since it was only one sheep that died.
-         People will also say he was a wise person

He never ran but went after the lion and killed it. Another day a bear also came, he stood firm and went after the bear and succeeded in killing the bear, and this events helped him to build his capacity. One of the major problems young people of this generation have is fear that is why we should build our capacity to the state where we will be fearless.

One thing that would have brought about David’s downfall is fear, but right in the bush he developed a capacity that could overcome fear.
The challenges you see are there to build your capacity, the battles and challenges you will need to conquer for you to succeed in the future will be small compared to the one you will see now i.e. now is the time you will feel the real heat.

For David’s dream to come true, he had to defeat a champion (Goliath) who is as fearful as a lion.
After David have built his capacity. When he met Goliath of Gath he had no option than to fight him because he has already built his capacity. And he killed Goliath as he killed the lion and the bear. “Don’t escape responsibilities, but BUILD YOUR CAPACITY THROUGH THEM”.
“For you to become a champion, you must defeat the already existing champion that’s why you should build your capacity” –Johnson.

God has already made you champions build your capacity so that in the future you will shine.
