Often time many young
people become afraid whenever they hear about an up coming examination.
Sometime it is not that they don’t really know what to write or that they are
not prepared, but a kind of fright grips them because they don’t know how to
prepare adequately.
Here are the six ways that works:
1.Time
management; be conscious of this: All
the people who passed an exam had the same time limit to prepare with those
failed. The truth is that when it comes to time you can’t say anyone is
cheating you because everyone has 24 hours in a day. At the beginning of every
academic section (semester), start studying, don’t wait for when time has gone
far before you start studying. Always be conscious and careful on how you use your
time, and start preparing as the semester starts. Know this, you can learn one
definition in 10 minutes so don’t waste any of your time because one hour can
give you knowledge that will make you outstanding.
2.Ask questions:
Learn
to ask questions. Ask as many question as possible, don’t mind if your course
mates will know you as a person who always ask question. The truth is that in
the examination hall we usually have many question to ask but in the class or
during lecture we will have known. The things you don’t understand always, ask
question and don’t always be ashamed to ask your fellow course mates question.
The truth is that what you don't know you won't know until you learn. It has been proven that asking question is
one of the best way to learn.
.
3. Beware; dying minute fails:
Do
not start studying the night before the exam. A young boy called Dickson
explains that after studying the night before one of his exams he forgot all
immediately he entered the exam hall. There is no how you will expect your
brain to capture exactly what you read ones. That is why you should start
studying before the exam. Studying the night before the exam may fail you, it
has been failing people and it will still fail some people. Start reading on
time so that you can meet up and be on time.
4.
Be
dedicated:
Spend
at least two hours each day or night studying your note; even if no
announcement has been made for an upcoming exam. This is where many people get
it wrong because many are lazy and are not ready to dedicate their time to
their studies.
Have
you ever asked someone question in an examination, if he or she does not
respond to you how do you feel?... after many will decide to dedicate, at the
end they might do it or not for you to save yourself the insult from course
mates and embarrassment from academic failure BE DEDICATED TO YOUR STUDIES
(BOOKS).
Many
people usually wait for an announcement of an upcoming exam before they start
preparing; but know that announcement of exams is usually late and will be
inconvenient for any adequate preparation.
5.
Be
skillful in studying:
Knowledge
from different sources produces better result. Use your class note and
textbooks to read and always try to get textbook that relates to each topic you
want to study. Learn to highlight key points. By key point I mean those words
and aspect in a topic that the teacher or lecturer usually lay emphasis on.
Always
use the dictionary to check meaning of words you don’t know and words you are
not sure of (the meaning) learn to use different things to study. Find out a
way you will be studying and always make that pattern of study master you.
Having a specific pattern of study makes understanding easy.
6.Believe you can:
If
you can follow the steps above then you can succeed in an examination
comfortable without the help of anyone. So just know that you can, and you will.
Don’t be afraid of an exam because you can pass (overcome ) it.
One
of the major reason why so many people are afraid of exam is because they know
that they are not adequately prepared, so if you know you are prepared, why
should you be afraid, just know that you can.
“and
always incorporate index cards to help you remember better”.
With
this you can conquer every difficult exam.
