I looked at the mirror,
when I saw myself, I felt bad because the way I was looking, within me I was
not satisfied with it. And that’s how many young people feel; most time this
feeling arises as we meet people or when feel the urge of having a boyfriend or
girlfriend.
Many of us are
disappointed with the way we look.
I interviewed some young people who said they were “ugly” and some of them told me that they would like to change their facial look, height, weight, body shape and complexion. Some other people said they will like to change their hair, voice etc if possible. A good friend of mine said he once considered resorting to cosmetic surgery.

There is no doubt about
it, how you look can affect how you view yourself and how you are treated by
other people.
Every young person feel
this pain, some of us are being nicknamed because of the way we look. One of
our clients was nicknamed Jumbo because of the way his eyes is, another was
nicknamed Chubs, the name of a dog. Even at school we are being nicknamed
because of the way we look and this makes us feel bad, even me, but the truth
still remains that no one can ever be perfect to his or her own satisfaction
until they understand themselves.
It’s not wrong for you
to be concerned about how you look. Some girls believe that being attractive
means being thin. And those super slim models are the slick magazine ads
certainly seem to support that belief. Never mind that, those stunning photos
were air-brushed to perfection on a computer and those lithe specimens have to
keep themselves in a state of near starvation to maintain their figure! Still,
comparing yourself with what you see in magazines might leave you frustrated
and distraught.
